On 5 and 6 July, 27 Nalanda Kuala Lumpur Branch Junior Dharma School students between the ages of 9 and 12 years old stayed-in at Nalanda Centre, Sri Serdang.  The objectives of the stay-in were to foster bonding among facilitators and students, to learn Buddhist culture and chanting, as well as to involve parents in rendering service to the Buddhist community.

Students rehearsing a dance they would be performing at the Nalanda 'Family Fun Fair' next month.

During the weekend stay-in, the young students participated in Nalanda’s monthly ‘Pindacāra’ (monks going on alms-round) programme at Sri Petaling morning market.  Other interesting activities included Dhamma sharing by facilitators, dance practice for the upcoming ‘Family Fun Fair’, and outdoor games.

It was indeed a joyful weekend for facilitators, parents and students as they developed closer bonds while learning the Dhamma together.  There is no better way for the students to spend their weekend than to live in the company of good teachers and friends!
