On Saturday 21 June, the Buddhist Community Alliance* (BCA) organized a “People Engagement Workshop” – the third in a series of such workshops for Buddhist community leaders. The workshop was held at Kinrara Metta Buddhist Society (KMBS) in Bandar Kinrara, Puchong. Its objective was to establish a protocol and system of “People Engagement” for gradual adoption. A handbook on “People Engagement” will be published as a guide for implementing it in the respective participating organisations.Read more
On Saturday 9 November, several senior Nalanda Officers attended a ‘People-Engagement Workshop’ organized by the Buddhist Community Alliance (BCA). The Buddhist Community Alliance (BCA) Dhamma School teachers and students had a wonderful get-together on Sunday, 25 August 2013 at Nalanda Centre. Friends from Kinrara Metta Buddhist Society, Seremban Sudhamma Buddhist Society, Sungai Long Buddhist Society and Nalanda Buddhist Society reunited for a day of joint Sunday Service and learning.
The Buddhist Community Alliance (BCA) held its bimonthly Coordination Committee Meeting on Sunday, 25 August 2013 at Nalanda Centre, Sri Serdang. At the meeting, the previous rotating chairman and President of Kinrara Metta Buddhist Society Bro. Tan Kim Chan, formally handed over the chairmanship to Bro. Lee Kong Foo, President of Nalanda Buddhist Society. Also present were President of Seremban Sudhamma Buddhist Society Dr. Oo Swee Khoon, Bro. Henry Wong of Sungai Long Buddhist Society, and representatives from BCA member organisations.Read more
Blessed in the beginning, blessed in the middle, and blessed in the end, the “I’m so Blessed!” camp, under the guidance of Samanera Amaranatho, showered some 32 participants aged 13 to 18, with torrents of joy and gratitude.
In November 2010, the Buddhist Community Alliance (BCA) Pāli Chanting Sub-committee was formed by representatives of all BCA member organizations to prepare a uniformed Pāli chanting script. The BCA felt the need to have a standard Pāli chanting book for its members, as most Theravadin Buddhist organizations in Malaysia chant differently from one another. The content of the BCA chanting script was edited by Bro. Tan Ho Soon and finalised in October 2011.

The campaign was co-organized by BCA and the National Blood Centre (Pusat Darah Negara). 111 donors registered for the campaign, and 84 bags of blood were collected.
