Invitation to WACANA 2008 Conference

WACANA is back this year with more synergies, improved delivery, and better values!

We invite you to join us in this eventful gathering of bhikkhus, bhikkhunis, community leaders, Dhamma propagators and Buddhist educationists to discuss pertinent issues relating to “Buddhist Leadership in Malaysia: Vision, Values, Vitality".

WACANA 2008 is jointly organized by Nalanda Institute, Buddhist Gem Fellowship and the Buddhist Maha Vihara.  It aims to address the issue of the leadership direction, value system and the dynamism of Buddhist organizations.  

We sincerely hope you will be among this gathering of distinguished Buddhist communities to address the important subject of leadership development, so that the Buddha's teachings may be perpetuated for the future generations.

WACANA 2008 will be held on 7 December 2008, Sunday, 9:00am – 5:00pm at the Hotel Armada, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.  The conference admission is RM80-00 for adult delegates and RM50-00 for students of tertiary institutions.  There is no charge for members of the Sangha.

To participate in the conference, please complete the registration form which can be obtained from the organisers and submit it together with the correct conference fee to Nalanda Institute, Buddhist Gem Fellowship or the Buddhist Maha Vihara before 16 November 2008.  On-line registration is also available at www.nalanda.org.my/wacana.
