In the animal kingdom, the lion is universally recognised as the most supreme.  When the lion roars, the other animals stop and listen.  In the ancient Pali canon, the Buddha likened his proclamation of the Dhamma, bold and thunderous, to a lion’s roar.

Dhamma education is what we at Nalanda Institute Malaysia (NIM) focus on.  NIM subscribes to the established version of the Pāḷi Tipitaka as the source of its doctrines and practices.  Over the past five years, we have adhered to this principle in our service to provide correct doctrines of the original teachings to the wider Buddhist community.

More than 7,500 participants nationwide have benefited from NIM’s various courses in Buddhist and Pali Studies, short training courses to enhance leadership and management skills for Buddhist volunteers, study tours and conferences.

1 July 2012 marks the 5th Anniversary of Nalanda Institute Malaysia.  In observance of this milestone, we are pleased to invite everyone to join us to celebrate NIM’s noble efforts and achievements in Dhamma education.  Come and join us at 9am on Sunday.  All are welcome!
