First Nalandian Dhammaduta in the U.S.A.

Lim Jie Sheng sharing the Dhamma at the Wesak Observance in Indiana, U.S.A.

On Saturday 24 May, Lim Jie Sheng became the first Nalandian Dhammaduta to give a talk in the United States of America.  Jie Sheng was invited by the Indiana Buddhist Temple in Hoagland, Indiana, to share the Dhamma in conjunction with Wesak Observance there.

Jie Sheng, 18, is currently in the U.S.A. as an exchange student under the Kennedy Lugar Youth Exchange & Study Program.  He has been actively involved in Buddhist outreach programmes for the past few years since his Nalanda Dharma School days.  Jie Sheng recently graduated from the Dharma School and was ‘promoted’ to Nalanda Youth Centre, where he is an active member.

We rejoice over Jie Sheng’s inaugural Dhamma-sharing in Indiana, and wish him all the best in the U.S.A.  May he return to Malaysia soon to share his invaluable experience with us, and to inspire more youths to walk the path of a Dhammaduta!  Sadhu anumodana.
