Welcome home, Bro. Tan

Nalandians were happy to receive Bro. Tan home safely from his pilgrimage.

On Friday 6 February, Nalandians warmly received Founder Bro. Tan’s return from a successful one-month pilgrimage tour of India and Nepal.  Bro. Tan journeyed through the sacred sites in Bodhgaya, Rajgir, Nālandā, Lumbini, Kushinagar, Vaishali and Sarnath accompanied by a small entourage.  Bro. Tan gave Dhamma talks almost every night and touched the hearts of devotees by sharing the wise teachings of Buddha in the holy land.

Bro. Tan has returned with renewed strength and insight, full of gratitude and appreciation for the blessings, mettā, good wishes and prayers for him.  During Service Sunday on 8 February, Bro. Tan advised us to celebrate the coming Chinese New Year meaningfully and spiritually – giving joyfully with understanding, and receiving happily being mindfully aware of others’ kindness and generosity. Sadhu anumodana!

The congregation saying Sadhu resoundingly in appreciation of Bro. Tan’s sharing and advice.  Bro. Tan wished all of us a joyful, meaningful and fulfilling Chinese New Year.
