‘Sangha Day’ is observed annually at Nalanda to express gratitude and support for the Sangha (monastic community) by offering robes and other requisites to monks and nuns. This is an important occasion for Buddhists to honour the virtues and contributions of the monastic community who strive diligently to bring the Buddha’s teaching for the benefit of mankind.
On ‘Sangha Day’, we invite you and your family members to offer robes, requisites, sponsorship towards the Sangha Fund (for the education and other needs of Sangha members) and contribution towards the purchase of land for ‘Wisdom Park’ – an integrated educational and training facility which will include a monastery, to be built in Kuala Kubu Bharu, Selangor.
For your convenience, limited sets of robes and requisites can be acquired from Nalanda Office (Tel. No. 03-8938 1500). Contribution towards the Sangha Fund and ‘Wisdom Park’ can be made at the Office, too. With our support, may the Sangha live happily, and may the Buddha-Sāsanā long endure!
