Young Buddhist Association Malaysia (YBAM) and a few Buddhist organisations are hosting Venerable Ayya Thubten Chodron for a Dhammaduta tour in Malaysia including meditation retreats and Dhamma talks.
Nalanda is honoured to host Ayya Thubten Chodron at Nalanda Centre from 5 to 7 December during her stay in Malaysia. There will be Evening Dhamma talks during this period of time, starting at 8pm.
We also welcome everyone to offer breakfast and lunch dāna at 7am and 11am respectively, on 6 and 7 December. You may bring vegetarian food or ripe fruits as offering.
Profile of Ven. Thubten Chodron :
Venerable Ayya Thubten Chodron has been a Buddhist nun since 1977 and has studied and practised Buddhism under the guidance of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Tsenzhap Serkong Rinpoche, Lama Zopa Rinpoche and other Tibetan masters. She is the founder and abbess of Sravasti Abbey, a Buddhist monastic community in Washington State, USA.
She is well-known for her warm, humorous, and lucid teachings. Active in interfaith dialogue, she also does Dhamma outreach in prisons and teaches worldwide.
