9 July 2025 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
The full-moon day of Asalha month in July marks the occasion when the Buddha first preached the Dhamma to His initial few disciples. In one of the most enlightening teachings ever, the Buddha taught them the truths of life – ‘Dukkha’ (suffering); its causes; its cessation; and the Path to its cessation – henceforth termed the ‘Four Noble Truths’. At Nalanda, Asalha full-moon is celebrated as ‘Dhamma Day’.
We invite you to commemorate with us this important occasion which falls on Wednesday, 9 July this year. The ‘Dhamma Day’ Service will commence at 8pm with offerings, chanting, meditation, and reciting the inspiring ‘Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta’ followed by a Dhamma talk on this auspicious day. All are welcome!
