From 31 May to 2 June, more than a hundred Nalanda members across Malaysia gathered in Wisdom Park for the 11th National Nalanda Members Convention. It was a joyful reunion for everyone after a year of hard work and selfless service.
The third day of the Convention witnessed many heartfelt sharings emphasising our “love for the Buddha-Sāsana”. Sis. Paruadi gave an inspiring sharing on the best way to preserve the Buddha-Sāsana, that is by cultivating ourselves in the Dhamma. This means being disciplined and committed to the practice, in order for Dhamma to improve every aspect of our lives and enable us to make wise decisions. In that way, more can see the efficacy of Dhamma and are inspired to embark on this journey together.

Sis. Buddhinī Tan gave a concluding session on how being grounded in our core and growing with care aligns back to Nalanda’s long-term goal. By focussing clearly on our core which is Holistic Buddhist Education, we can promote these knowledge, skills, values and culture for the benefit of the Buddhist community at large.
Concluding the Convention with dedication of merits. Buddha-sāsanaṃ ciraṃ titthatu. May the Buddha-Sāsana long endure!
Sis. Buddhinī Tan gave a concluding session on how being grounded in our core and growing with care aligns back to Nalanda’s long-term goal. As explored in the previous two conventions, Nalanda aims to become a Buddhist missionary organisation; to become a centre of excellence in Buddhist education for the benefit of many more people. By focussing clearly on our core which is Holistic Buddhist Education, we can then promote these knowledge, skills, values and culture for the benefit of the Buddhist community at large.
The Convention concluded in high spirits as members gained clarity of our personal contributions, and our role in the organisation. Many were inspired by the talks and discussions throughout the three days, and shared their reflections and joy at the end of the session.
We thank all Nalanda members and core volunteers for being part of this impactful Convention. Let us stay grounded in our core, and grow together with care!
