Dhammaduta collegiate trains together on speaker culture and standards

On the public holiday of Wednesday, 17 June, the Nalanda Dhammaduta College brought together its members and Dhamma School facilitators for a meaningful training session on speaker culture and standards. It was a valuable opportunity for the collegiate to reconnect, learn, and strengthen our shared commitment in serving the Dhamma.

Guided by Sis. Sunanda Ong, participants delved deeply into the College’s Founding Charter, aligning our understanding and interpretation of its key principles. These include taking Refuge in the Three Jewels, cultivating Sīla, Samādhi and Paññā, fostering a strong Buddhist community, embodying compassion, and walking the Gradual Way. The session encouraged us to reflect on how we continually train and refine ourselves as Dhamma speakers.

In the final reflection, the collegiate recognised that while we are diverse voices with different strengths, we can unite in a shared culture, mission, and aspiration. We thank the organisers for this beneficial training and wish all our Dhamma speakers every success in propagating the Dhamma to the community in an engaging and inspiring way.
