Over two enriching days on 25 and 26 July (Friday and Saturday), participants of the Mindful Living Camp explored The Art of Mindful Emotional Management under the guidance of Dr. Yeoh Kar Kheng. Through engaging talks, experiential exercises, and guided mindfulness practices, participants gained a deeper understanding of how mindfulness can cultivate emotional intelligence, reduce stress, and enhance overall well-being.

The camp introduced practical mindfulness skills such as mindful breathing, body awareness, mindful listening, body scanning, and mindful walking. Participants discovered that mindfulness is more than simply paying attention. It is cultivating present-moment awareness with kindness and curiosity, enabling us to move from habitual reactions to wise and skilful responses. The sessions also highlighted the importance of self-awareness, self-management, empathy, and healthy relationships in fostering a balanced, meaningful, and fulfilling life.

As the camp concluded, participants were encouraged to integrate mindfulness into their daily lives through simple yet consistent practice. The journey does not end with the camp; rather, it marks the beginning of a lifelong path of cultivating greater awareness, compassion, wisdom, and inner peace. May the wholesome seeds planted over these two days continue to flourish, bringing lasting benefit to ourselves, our families, and our communities.
