On Sunday 28 September, Nalanda members from Serdang and Kuala Lumpur Branch gathered at Nalanda Centre for Members’ Day. The afternoon was filled with inspiration and joy as everyone looked forward to upcoming programmes, especially the much-anticipated WACANA 2025 this December.
Members were uplifted by reflections on the missionary spirit, reminding us that every interaction is an opportunity to embody and share the Dhamma. Adding creativity and cheer, the session featured light-hearted illustrations that sparked both laughter and reflection. We also rejoiced in insights from the recent study tour to Thailand, which deepened our appreciation for the value of learning and exchange.
The session began with Sis. Nandini Tan presenting the line-up of programmes scheduled for the final quarter of 2025 through to mid-2026, offering members meaningful opportunities for learning and service.
This was followed by Sis. Sandy Lim’s briefing on WACANA 2025, scheduled for 20 December which serves as a timely platform for Buddhist associations and engaged Buddhists to address pertinent challenges in the community.
A key highlight of the meeting was the reflection on Buddhist missionary spirit – nurturing both personal and organisational growth shared by Sis. Buddhini Tan.
The gathering concluded in a spirit of gratitude and unity, as members renewed their determination to learn, practise, and serve joyfully together.
Adding joy and engagement, Sis. Rachel and her volunteers brought creative illustrations that sparked laughter while deepening understanding.
