‘Nalanda Patron’s Day’ was first observed on 18 March 2007, in conjunction with the birth anniversary of our late Spiritual Advisor, Ven. Dr. K. Sri Dhammananda Nayaka Thero.  Held annually since, this serves as an occasion to appreciate all our donors, benefactors and volunteers who have contributed tremendously to the growth of Nalanda, and by extension, to the development of Buddhist education.

This year’s Patron’s Day marks one of the final events of the year-long ‘K. Sri Dhammananda Centenary Celebrations’.  Join us on 17 March to commemorate Ven. Dhammananda’s immeasurable contributions towards the development of Malaysian Buddhism.  The service will include meditation, chanting, dedication of merits and Dhamma teaching by Nalanda founder, Bro. Tan.
