Profile of Sayadaw Asabhacara

Venerable Sayadaw received his higher ordination in 1974.  He served as an assistant meditation teacher at the Mahasi Meditation Centre in Yangon from 1984 to 1988.  He also assisted Ven. Sayadaw U Panditabhivamsa in conducting meditation retreats at various venues in Malaysia and United States.

The Venerable is currently the Abbot of Mangalarama Vihāra in Silver Spring, U.S.A.
