On Tuesday 29 April, the young working adults group learned about ‘Building Genuine Friendship and Wise Networking’ with Sis. See Hui Shien at Nalanda Education & Outreach Centre K.L. in Happy Garden.  They defined the meaning of ‘networking’ in the Dhamma context and building genuine friendship at work. 

To associate with the wise and knowing how to differentiate wholesome from unwholesome helps us to uphold harmlessness to ourselves and others. A wise person is humble, compassionate, and has strong ethical standards to support one’s growth towards happiness. By associating with the wise, we are protected from ill-will and bad influence.

It is important that we identify our true friends at work and in life – friends who are helpful, loyal, give good advice and rejoice in our success wholeheartedly. They are rare gems that we should cherish in our lives.
