Nalanda Buddhist Society thanks the team for their 13 months of dedicated effort in researching and compiling the Bujang Valley guidebook. Sādhu! Anumodanā.

In line with Nalanda’s commitment to promoting the history and heritage of Buddhism in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, Nalanda seeks to develop NEO Centre Sungai Petani as a Bujang Valley Educational Hub, given its strategic location.  To support this initiative, a research team was formed from 1 November 2024 to 11 December 2025 to study Bujang Valley’s civilisational and Buddhist heritage.

The eight-member team, led by Bro. Yeo Disheng includes Dr. Song Wai Leng, Bro. Khaw Seng Giap, Sis. Sandy Lim, Bro. Ng Eek Chon, Sis. Mary Ooi, Bro. Aw Jian Hau, and Sis. Lim Cai Pei.  After 13 months of research, the team produced a Bujang Valley Tour Guide Handbook, now serving as the main reference for guided tours.  The team officially established as the Nalanda Bujang Valley Heritage Team.
