Strengthening service and spirit: SMS Team stay-in programme

Nalanda’s Sunday Morning Service (SMS) Team held a stay-in programme from 4 to 5 October, specially organised to deepen the team’s knowledge and strengthen their spirit of learning and cultivation.  This team works seamlessly throughout the year to organise the weekly Sunday Morning Service which provides a meaningful space for members and devotees to learn Dhamma, cultivate wholesome values, serve the community, and grow spiritually.

Guided by Sis. Nandinī Tan, Sis. Sunanda Ong, and Bro. Yeo Disheng, the stay-in training covered key areas such as Buddhist education, organising skill and Pāḷi chanting.  These sessions not only equipped the team with practical skills but also provided valuable opportunities to reflect on the purpose and meaning of their service.  Equally important was the bonding and fellowship nurtured throughout the programme.

Grounded in chanting sessions in the mornings and evening.

Fruitful learning with good friends.

Bro Disheng led the Pali Chanting training.

Sis. Nandini guided the session on planning and team structure.

Sis. Joanne Tan shares her gratitude to the team in the rejoicing session.

The stay-in concluded on a happy and inspired note, with participants motivated to continue serving joyfully at the Sunday morning services and beyond.  We rejoice in the team’s continued joy and learning in their noble service to uphold and prolong the Buddha-Sāsana by supporting the Dhamma learning of devotees.  Sadhu!
