Thank you for a joyous ‘Buddha Day’ Observance

Thank you for a joyous ‘Buddha Day’ Observance

We rejoice in everyone coming together as a Buddhist community to observe this sacred day by learning and reflecting on Dhamma. Sadhu anumodana!

Nalanda Buddhist Society Management and members would like to express our appreciation to you for joining us to celebrate Buddha Day this year.  This was our first year of physical Wesak observance since lockdowns were implemented in 2020, made possible because of Malaysia’s transition into the Covid-19 endemic phase.

Over two weekends, we were heartened to welcome more than 1,000 people who participated in the Wesak programmes both physically and on-line.  Many also came to volunteer their time to prepare the Centre, while many visitors visited to pay their respects to honour our Teacher, the Buddha.

Our gratitude goes out to the organising team who enthusiastically planned and prepared for both programmes at Centre as well as on-line content, while implementing SOPs for the safety of the community.  We hope that their initiative and selfless efforts have contributed to your spiritual celebration of Buddha Day whether you are near or far.  We also take this opportunity to seek your forgiveness for any shortcomings you may have experienced.

We also extend our deep appreciation to Venerable Dr. S. Pemaratana, all Dhamma speakers, the technical support team, volunteers, devotees and everyone involved for your support.  May we stay rooted in Dhamma and be resolute in forging forward on this path towards freedom from suffering.  May you be blessed with peace and wisdom.  Thank you for celebrating Buddha Day together with us!
