Youths cultivate calmness through meditation

45 youths aged 18 to 35 gathered at Nalanda Centre for a full-day Youth Meditation programme guided by Bro. Tan Siang Chye.

On Sunday 1 November, 45 youths aged 18 to 35 gathered at Nalanda Centre for a full-day Youth Meditation programme guided by Bro. Tan Siang Chye. Youths explored ways to understand their own minds and develop skills to manage anxiety, overthinking and distraction.

Through guided meditation practices, they learned various ways to cultivate calmness and tranquillity, including chanting, breathwork and walking meditation. These practices help settle the minds, become more aware of present experiences, and respond to life’s challenges with greater composure. By learning to observe thoughts and feelings without immediately reacting to them, they gained a deeper understanding of the impermanent and unsatisfactory nature of life.
