Happy Young Adults Forum on navigating changes with wisdom & strength

Thank you to everyone for your kind support in the learning journey of young adults.

This year’s Buddha Day Observance programmes included a meaningful forum organised by Nalanda Youth Centre young working adults on Tuesday, 13 May.  The forum at Nalanda Centre brought together a panel of seasoned corporate leaders and Buddhist practitioners featuring Datuk Charlie Chia, Sis. Ng Beng Lean and Sis. Wendy Khaw.

Titled ‘Navigating Changes with Wisdom and Strength’, forum speakers shared ways they optimised challenging and fluid situations at different junctures in their careers. When considering career switches and embarking on entrepreneurship, it is important to understand our intention at that point and the push and pull factors in play.  When we commit to our decision, we should push forward and do our best.

Sis. Amanda Chen leads the group to welcome the forum speakers.

Nalanda leaders extend our thanks to forum speakers.

Sis. Beng Lean is a dedicated Dhamma practitioner and supporter, whilst also carrying out a leadership role at work.

As we have had the opportunity to learn Dhamma at a young age, speakers reminded us of our blessing and encouraged us to be relentless in our Dhamma learning and practice.  We will be able to strengthen our resilience, patience and mindfulness amidst changes and challenges. In this engaging forum, the youths posed questions to clarify their doubts and gain more guidance from the speakers.

We extend our thanks to the speakers, organisers, participants and volunteers for this fruitful learning event. May the youths continue to progress in achieving well-being at work whilst progressing on their spiritual path.  Sadhu.

Joyful is the camaraderie of good spiritual friends.

Sis. Loh Pei Qi hosted the session.

Sis. Wendy Khaw is a successful entrepreneur and has been brought up in a family of Dhamma practitioners.

Datuk Charlie Chia has held many leadership roles and is a Dhamma speaker who has connected with many Buddhist communities across Malaysia.
