On Saturday 31 October, participants of BPS 404, Higher Certificate in Buddhist Studies, presented their group projects to their lecturers and peers. Each group explored the spread of Buddhism across Asia, examining the historical and cultural factors that enabled the Dhamma to be adopted, practised, propagated and preserved across different societies.
Through a variety of creative presentation styles, the rich history of Buddhism in Sri Lanka, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, China and Myanmar came alive. Participants shared their research and insights, deepening their appreciation of how the Buddha’s teachings took root and flourished in different parts of Asia. The BPS 404 lecturers provided constructive feedback and encouragement to guide each group in their continued learning and improvement.

We rejoice in the participants’ dedication and efforts in researching, preparing and rehearsing their projects, as well as their willingness to share knowledge with one another. May they continue to study diligently, deepen their understanding of the Buddha-Dhamma and prepare well for their written evaluation at the end of this month. Sādhu anumodana!
