Progressing Metta Bhavana with Kalyana Mitta

Progressing Metta Bhavana with Kalyana Mitta

Sis. Sunandā Ong, together with Sis. R. Paruadi, guiding participants of the Metta Learning Sessions.

In the past weeks, participants of the Metta Learning Sessions have been gathering on Wednesday evenings to learn this important skill by exploring its every step.  Guided by Sis. Sunandā Ong and Sis. R. Paruadi, each session commenced with chanting, guided Metta Bhavana and talks which progressively deepened our understanding of Metta.

Starting with what Metta is and what it isn’t, to its benefit, and moving on to how we can start with ourselves and then to loved ones, enemies, and all beings, participants learned the fundamentals as well as tips to embed Metta into our daily lives.  Group discussions also helped us to reflect and learn from each other.
