On Wednesday 29 July, Sis. Nandinī Tan and Sis. Sunandā Ong, the main coordinators of Nalanda’s 20th Memorial Observance of Ven. Dr. K. Sri Dhammananda, attended a planning meeting at the Buddhist Maha Vihara. The meeting was initiated by Bro. A Hemadasa, Acting President of the Sasana Abhiwurdhi Wardhana Society (SAWS), to coordinate the commemoration of the late Chief Reverend’s life and legacy in Klang Valley.
Representatives from the Theravāda Council, Mahāyāna Centres, Vajrayāna Council, and numerous Buddhist societies and organisations came together in a spirit of harmony and collaboration to plan a series of commemorative programmes honouring the life, teachings, and enduring legacy of Ven. Dr. K. Sri Dhammananda.

During the meeting, the organising committee also expressed its appreciation for the “Terima Kasih, Dhammananda” Exhibition hosted at Nalanda Centre. The exhibition was commended as a well-curated and meaningful tribute that beautifully presents the Chief Reverend’s life, vision, and invaluable contributions to Buddhism in Malaysia.
In recognition of its educational value and significance, the exhibition will be incorporated as one of the official programmes of the Klang Valley commemoration. It will continue to be hosted at Nalanda Centre, Sri Serdang, providing the public with an opportunity to learn about and reflect on the remarkable legacy of Ven. Dr. K. Sri Dhammananda, whose tireless efforts continue to inspire generations of Buddhists.
