Earlier this morning, a team of 36 Nalanda members and friends departed for a five-day study tour to Borobudur and Jogjakarta, Indonesia, from 7 to 11 October. Organised by Nalanda Institute, the journey offers participants opportunities to deepen their appreciation of Buddhist heritage and learn from local Buddhist communities.
Through visits to Borobudur, viharas and a Buddhist school, participants will explore how the Dhamma has inspired generations in their learning, practice and service. The journey also provides opportunities to strengthen fellowship and reflect on our role in preserving this precious heritage for future generations.
Joining the tour are Nalanda President Sis. Buddhinī Tan, Nalanda Honorary Secretary Sis. Livin Leow, Nalanda Centre Director Sis. Nandinī Tan, Nalanda Free School Principal Dr. Ng, Nalanda Youth Leader Bro. Yeo Disheng, Sungai Petani Branch Chairperson Dr. Song, Johor Bahru Branch Chairperson Sis. Saw, and several other leaders.
We wish the study group a safe, joyful and fruitful learning journey!
