Serving our neighbour with care and compassion

On Sunday 18 October, a group of 16 Nalanda volunteers from the Green Warriors and Young Working Adults came together to help an elderly neighbour clear an overgrown garden.

The 80-year-old homeowner had sought assistance as maintaining the garden had become physically demanding.  With weeds, plants and trees growing increasingly dense around the house, the surrounding area was in need of care and attention.

Responding to this request, the volunteers worked together to remove weeds, trim plants and tidy the garden.  After half a day of hard work, the overgrown space was cleared, leaving a cleaner and more manageable environment for the elderly resident.

The homeowner expressed heartfelt gratitude to Nalanda for the assistance.  We thank all the volunteers for giving their time and energy to serve our neighbour, putting care and compassion into action.
