A busy but meaningful Sunday

11.30am – Parents and devotees packing Carebags to be distributed to care homes and orphanages.

On Sunday on 20 July, Nalanda was packed with various learning sesions, meetings and service opportunities.  From Sunday services, Dhamma school sessions, preparations for Family Fun Fair and important meetings for the upcoming WACANA Buddhist Conference, it was a fulfilling and meaningful day indeed.

9am – Sunday Morning Service featuring a Dhamma talk by Bro. Ānanda Fong.

9am – Youth Sunday Service featuring a Dhamma Chat with Sis. Sunandā Ong.

11am – Lunch dāna offering to Ven. Sajjana.

9am – Dhamma School students preparing meal boxes for pre-sales.

9am – Dhamma School students sewing meditation cushions for sale during the Family Fun Fair.

9am – Over at NEO Centre Kuala Lumpur, parents of Family Dhamma School had a learning session with Sis. Paruadi.

9am – Children of Family Dhamma School in NEO Centre Kuala Lumpur having a learning session with Sis. Sadhikā Tan.

 

9am – Facilitators with Rahula group in NEO Centre Kuala Lumpur.

12pm – Nalanda leaders visited Dharma Drum Mountain to discuss about the upcoming WACANA Buddhist Conference

2pm – First WACANA Organising Committee meeting with all functional team members as well as representatives from organising partner Theravāda Buddhist Council of Malaysia (TBCM).

Over in Wisdom Park, volunteers are hosting a 9-day meditation retreat conducted by Dr. Sean Pritchard.
