Enjoy a meditative and mindful moment with other devotees, and look within ourselves to enhance mental strength, peace and resolve.
MASS FOOD OFFERING TO THE COMMUNITY | 5.30 pm – 6.30 pm | Field
Every year, devotees bring along food to share and serve the public out of generosity and humility. We rejoice in knowing that many who received food years ago are now offering food to the public in return. If you would like to offer food to the public this Wesak Day, call Sis. Nandinī at 03-89381500 for more information.
HERITAGE PROCESSION & STAGE PERFORMANCES | 7.00 pm – 8.30 pm | Field
The ‘Buddha Day’ Heritage Procession at Nalanda Centre is a unique cultural and spiritual experience that attracts thousands of participants yearly. The Buddha’s Sacred Relic will be brought out to lead the procession in Sri Serdang. All are welcome to this spiritual and cultural highlight of ‘Buddha Day’.
WORSHIPPING OF BUDDHA RELIC | 10.00 am – 6.00 pm | Level 3
Once a year, the Buddha Relic at Nalanda Centre is brought out from its special chamber for devotees to worship. We welcome everyone to pay the highest homage to our Great Teacher’s Relic.
Please come in appropriate dress – i.e. white tops covering both shoulders, and long pants or skirts, as this is customary when worshipping Buddha Relics. You may also sit near to the Relic pavilion in silent meditation, or reflect on the teachings of the Buddha.
‘BUDDHA JAYANTI’ EXHIBITION | 10.00 am – 6.00 pm | Level 3
The ‘Buddha Jayanti’ Exhibition is one of the highlights of Nalanda’s ‘Buddha Day’ Observance. Messages of Dhamma are illustrated through interesting visual presentations by Nalanda Dhamma School teachers and students to educate the public.
We look forward to welcoming you at Nalanda Centre on this Wesak ‘Buddha Day’. Namo Buddhaya!
