Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip passes away

Serving as royal consort for 65 years, Prince Philip’s devotion to the Queen and people of the United Kingdom had been unfaltering.

His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh has passed away peacefully today at 99.  As the longest-serving consort in British history, the nation mourns the Prince who had earned the affection of generations with his dedication to public service, charitable work, and steadfast support for his wife, Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II and her role as reigning monarch.

Nalanda Buddhist Society Malaysia offers our deepest condolence to Her Majesty The Queen who lost her dutiful husband of 73 years, members of the royal family, and the people of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth countries over the demise of the well-loved and respected Prince Philip.  May he rest in Peace.
