Facilitators’ journey of reflection and growth in Thailand

Facilitators’ journey of reflection and growth in Thailand

From 12 to 16 September, 20 Nalanda Dhamma School facilitators travelled to Thailand for a meaningful study tour in conjunction with the school’s 20th anniversary.  Led by Nalanda Buddhist Society President, Sis. Buddhinī Tan, and Director of Nalanda Dhamma School, Sis. See Hui Shien, the trip centred on learning from revered monastic teachers.  Facilitators had the rare opportunity to learn from Ajahn Jayasāro, Ajahn Nyanadhammo, Luang Por Ganha, and Luang Por Piak, whose teachings, reflections, and warm encouragement offered deep insights into their service in Dhamma school, as well as their personal practice and spiritual growth.

At the Buddhadāsa Indapanno Archives in Bangkok, the thought-provoking exhibits and creative presentation of Dhamma inspired facilitators to reflect on applying timeless truths in today’s world.  The visits to Panyaprateep and Thawsi Schools further enriched their journey, providing valuable perspectives on holistic education from both monastic and lay educators.

Ajahn Jayasāro compassionately answered questions to clarify our doubts.

Throughout the trip, facilitators were blessed with opportunities to perform dāna to the Sangha.

At Ratanawan, facilitators received guidance and kind encouragement from Ajahn Nyanadhammo.

The facilitators returned with joyful hearts, renewed energy, and a stronger commitment to nurturing Dhamma education for children and teenagers in Malaysia. With heartfelt gratitude, we thank all the venerable teachers, hosts, and friends in Thailand for their warm hospitality and generous sharing.  As we mark this special 20-year milestone, may our facilitators carry this inspiration forward into the decades ahead, continuing to grow in wisdom and compassion while guiding future generations towards a brighter, harmonious future.
