Today marks the full moon Uposatha of the Phussa month, the first Uposatha observance of the New Year 2026. It is an especially opportune and meaningful time to set wholesome aspirations and to reflect deeply on our Dhamma practice. Let us observe the Eight Precepts, cultivate mindfulness and wisdom, and renew our commitment to walking the Noble Path with diligence and whole-heartedness.
On this day, let this sacred observance remind us of the Buddha’s teaching that firm resolve (adhiṭṭhāna), grounded in wholesome intention, ethical conduct, and sustained effort, is a vital support for progress on the path to liberation.
