Gathering of hearts and minds for KL Branch members

Gathering of hearts and minds for KL Branch members

A joyful group photo together at the Leaders’ Gathering.

From 1 to 2 November, members of Nalanda Kuala Lumpur Branch came together for a meaningful gathering themed “A Gathering of Hearts & Minds”, aimed at deepening their understanding of core values, strengthening unity, and charting the way forward for the Branch.

Sis. Buddhini Tan led a learning session on “Grounded in Core & Growing with Care”, highlighting the importance of caring for our core principles and practices, for the people around us, and for the larger community. By being well-grounded, members can work together harmoniously to engage the community in meaningful learning and cultivation.

Welcoming by Branch Chairman Bro. Yong Keok Fatt.

The evening concluded with a heartfelt Reflection Night on “Journey of Buddhist Volunteers”, where members expressed gratitude and sought forgiveness from one another, strengthening bonds of camaraderie and humility.

Staying overnight at NEO Centre KL provided members with the opportunity to begin their day with morning meditation and chanting, nurturing mindfulness and serenity. The programme continued with active discussions on overcoming challenges and reviewing the effectiveness of Branch educational programmes. The gathering concluded on a joyful note at Nalanda Centre, where members joined the larger community for Members’ Day – A Big Family Gathering.

We rejoice in the KL Branch members’ collective aspiration to grow in the Dhamma and serve selflessly for the welfare of many and the prolongation of the Sasana. Sadhu anumodana.
