Honouring the Sangha at NEO Centre Kuala Lumpur

Honouring the Sangha at NEO Centre Kuala Lumpur

Devotees across three generations had the opportunity to offer as a family.

On Sunday 10 November, Nalanda Kuala Lumpur Branch held its ‘Sangha Day’ in Happy Garden, Kuala Lumpur with the keen participation of the community.  The programme began with meditation, offerings and chanting, followed by a Dhamma talk by Bro. Ananda Fong who shared about the significance of the Sangha.

The offering ceremony commenced with Nalanda’s immediate past-President, Bro. Lee Kong Foo and Chairman of Nalanda Kuala Lumpur Branch, Bro. Ng Eek Chon presenting robes and requisites to the venerable Sangha member.  Devotees, young and old, followed with their offerings as everyone rejoiced in their generosity and devotion.

The service started with offerings and chanting.

Bro. Ananda shared that as devotees, we are thankful to the Mahā Sangha for preserving the Dhamma for the welfare and happiness of many.

Branch Chairman Bro. Ng represented NEO Centre KL in offering requisites.

Devotees rejoice at the opportunity to honour the Mahā Sangha.

May these merits support us in the attainment of Nibbāna.

After the ceremony, venerable sir commended everyone on their meritorious deeds in supporting the Mahā Sangha before performing blessings and dedication of merits.  With joyous hearts, devotees offered ‘Sanghika Dāna’ to venerable sir before the programme concluded with lunch for everyone.

We thank all devotees and volunteers for your kind contributions and participation in making this observance so meaningful and wholesome.  Sādhu ānumodāna!

Dhamma School students learn from a young age on how the laity can support Sangha members.

Participants rejoice in the good deeds of those offering.

With gratitude in their hearts, devotees offered lunch dāna after the offering ceremony.

We thank everyone for making this event a meaningful one.

Devotees will have another opportunity to experience the joy of offering robes and requisites this Sunday (17 November) at Nalanda Centre, Sri Serdang and also at NEO Centre Johor Bahru.  The ceremonies will begin at 9.00am. All are welcome.
