On Sunday 12 July, while the adults and youths deepened their understanding of Dhamma at the Community Learning Day, Nalanda Dhamma School students also enjoyed a meaningful day filled with learning, service and creativity.
The students lovingly prepared and hosted lunch for the adults and youths, putting into practice the values of generosity, teamwork and gratitude. Adding to the joyful atmosphere, students also delighted everyone with their lively performances during lunch.
In the afternoon, the students explored the inspiring stories behind the Jayamaṅgala Gāthā, discovering how the Buddha overcame life’s challenges through great qualities such as wisdom, compassion and patience. They then brought these timeless lessons to life through a fun and engaging Dhamma through Drama competition, showcasing their creativity, teamwork and understanding of the Dhamma.
The day beautifully demonstrated that Dhamma learning extends beyond the classroom. Through acts of service, joyful fellowship and creative expression, the students experienced firsthand how the Buddha’s teachings can be lived and shared, taking another meaningful step towards creating a better life for themselves and others.
