“Mindful Breathing” with Dr. Phang Cheng Kar

Dr. Phang shared the six types of mindful breathing techniques.

On Sunday 7 December, Dr. Phang Cheng Kar delivered a Dhamma talk on “Mindful Breathing Made Easy for Mental Hygiene” at Nalanda Centre.  He highlighted that healthy mental hygiene will lead to a calm, happy and positive mind.

Dr. Phang shared the six types of mindful breathing techniques.  He led devotees into an interactive session with demonstrations of the different techniques.  The beam of light from a torch was used to represent awareness.  The wondering mind is likened to shifting the torchlight in various directions.  Dr. Phang advised us to increase our awareness by paying wise attention to our breath.

Devotees were delighted to learn the various breathing exercises expertly guided by Dr Phang. We would like to thank Dr. Phang for the beneficial sharing with everyone.  Sadhu anumodana!
