New van launched with gratitude

Devotees taking turns to offer well-wishes at the launch of the new van.

On Sunday 25 February, Nalanda members and devotees witnessed the launching of the Society’s new passenger van with much gratitude and appreciation.  Founder Bro. Tan led the recitation of ‘parittas’ to inaugurate the van, and named it ‘S. K. Aruna’, meaning “the arrival of dawn”.  This was followed by a simple blessing ceremony by everyone present.

Nalanda President Sis. Evelyn and Deputy President Bro. Charlie thanking all donors and devotees for contributing towards the purchase of the new van.

The new 11-seater van is being actively used to ferry venerable monks, Dhamma School students and devotees attending various activities.  With numerous programmes scheduled every week and entailing the transportation of many people, a passenger van has become a key necessity.

Bro. Tan led the recitation of ‘parittas’ (protective verses) to inaugurate the van.

We are very thankful to generous benefactors who donated to the cost of purchasing the van.  Your contributions are benefiting many community educational activities organised by Nalanda.  Sadhu anumodana for your kind and timely support!
