With heavy hearts, we extend our prayers and loving-kindness to all those affected by the powerful earthquakes that struck northern Venezuela on Wednesday, 24 June near the coastal region close to Caracas. The quakes has claimed over 900 lives, injured thousands, and rendered many more homeless as building and infrastructure were damaged. Rescue teams continue to work tirelessly amidst challenging conditions to reach those missing and in need.
In the face of this tragedy, let us come together and extend our prayers and thoughts of loving-kindness. May those who have lost loved ones find strength and comfort, may the injured recover swiftly, and may all affected be protected from further harm. We also extend our heartfelt mettā to the rescue workers and volunteers on the ground — may they be safe, steadfast, and supported in their selfless efforts. May those who lost their lives be at Peace. Sotthi.
