A joyful conclusion to the week-long Buddha Day observance. Thank you to all volunteers for your selfless service!
On Sunday 25 May, the Buddha Day Observance Organising Committee invited all volunteers back to Nalanda Centre for a Volunteer Appreciation & Luncheon, to extend our appreciation for their service. The 8-day observance was only made possible and seamless with the collective support of all our members and volunteers to plan over 13 programmes and tend to the participating community.
Knowing that volunteers were engaged in their roles during the Observance, we invited Nalanda Dhamma School to perform their shadow puppet show (wayang kulit), and also present a song prepared specially for the day. Chair of the Organising Committee, Sis. Livin Leow thanked everyone for their cooperation and sincere care which was greatly appreciated by all guests and visitors.
We truly rejoice in the goodness of all our volunteers who thought not of their own needs but tend to the needs of others as well as enable more to connect with the Dhamma. May your good deeds bring you much joy for many more days to come, and we invite you to continue pursuing this path to happiness and contentment with us at Nalanda. Sukhihontu!
