Nalanda Buddhist Society will be celebrating our annual ‘Sangha Day’ next month at two venues – Nalanda Centre Sri Serdang and NEO Centre Happy Garden in Kuala Lumpur. ‘Sangha Day’ is dedicated to honour, appreciate and support the monastic order of bhikkhus (monks) and bhikkhunis (nuns) – the pillars of Buddha-Sāsana. On this day, devotees offer them robes as well as requisites such as medicinal products and food supplements.
We invite you to participate in this meritorious act of supporting the monastic order. The main celebration of ‘Sangha Day’ will be held at Nalanda Centre on Sunday 20 November, followed by a smaller gathering at NEO Centre Kuala Lumpur on Sunday 27 November. Robes and packets of requisites are available at Nalanda for your convenience if you would like to offer them to Sangha members.
Besides offerings, there will also be Dhamma teaching for the benefit of our right understanding. Devotees also get the opportunity to offer food to monks during lunch, and thereafter dedicate merits to their family members and friends.
For more information, kindly contact Nalanda Office at 03-8938-1500/1501 or e-mail your inquiry to firstname.lastname@example.org . All are welcome to the wholesome celebration on ‘Sangha Day’!
