In the weeks leading up to the much-anticipated Family Fun Fair this year, Nalanda Dhamma School is buzzing with excitement and enthusiasm. The spirit of teamwork and joyful service fills the air as everyone rallies together to support this meaningful community event. Both the Junior and Teenage School students are actively involved in different ways, contributing their time, creativity, and energy with much dedication and joy.
The teenage students, guided by their facilitators, are busy planning and preparing delicious home-cooked items for the pre-sales. From testing recipes to managing ingredients and planning for their FFF stalls, they are learning valuable skills in teamwork, responsibility, and entrepreneurship. More than just cooking, this experience becomes a way for them to practise generosity, by offering their efforts to support the school and wider community.
Meanwhile, the younger students in the Junior School are pouring their hearts into making meditation cushions. Each cushion is stitched with care, carrying their creativity and the spirit of giving and mindfulness. Through these activities, Dhamma School students are not only preparing for a successful fun fair, they are also learning to serve joyfully, work harmoniously, and cultivate wholesome values in daily life. May all students be inspired to continue giving their best with loving-kindness and a cheerful heart. Sadhu anumodana!
