Bro. Tan accompanied by several Nalandians spent 3 days from 17 to 19 April in Kampar, Perak, to help install the Buddha-Altar at Mangala Lodge. The installation of the Altar was timed to coincide with the auspicious Wesak New-moon Uposatha Day.
On Monday 16 March, Nalanda Founder Bro. Tan paid a half-day visit to the newly-opened Mangala Lodge Buddhist House in Kampar, Perak. The lodge is a comfortable and well-furnished hostel facility specially catered for students studying in nearby institutions. It is located adjacent to the Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) main campus, and not far from TAR University College (formerly ‘TAR College’) branch campus.
Nalanda Malaysia offers our deepest condolences to the people of Perak on the passing away of Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah this afternoon (1.30pm on 28 May 2014). The late Sultan of Perak would be laid to rest at the Royal Mausoleum in Kuala Kangsar on Thursday.
