Leading a Life of Wisdom & Compassion

This year marks 20 years since the passing of the late Ven. K. Sri Dhammananda (1918 – 2006), the late Sangha Nāyaka of Malaysia and Singapore, and Nalanda’s late Spiritual Advisor, Ven. Dhammananda, who had spent his life building and nourishing the growth of the Theravāda Buddhist community in Malaysia.  Under his spiritual leadership, many Buddhist societies were established since the 1960s and continue to benefit Dhamma learners and practitioners today.

We invite you to join us in this special year-long 20th Memorial Observance, featuring various events and programmes to bring alive Ven. Dhammananda’s love of Dhamma, his teachings and spirit of service to the community.  Highlights include a Special Exhibition, Buddhist & Pali Studies Course, forums and a ‘Dhamma through Drama’ presentation.
