On Wednesday 4 November, Nalandians were honoured to welcome Venerable Aggacitta Māha Thero on his visit to Nalanda Centre.  Ayasma Aggacitta is a highly-regarded Dhamma teacher and the Abbot of Sāsanārakkha Buddhist Sanctuary (SBS) in Taiping, Perak.

It was Ayasma Aggacitta’s first visit to Nalanda since the Centre’s renovation was completed in January this year; thus he was brought on a tour of the enlarged building by Nalanda Founder Bro. Tan and Sis. Sandy Lim.  Ayasma Aggacitta also met Ven. Alokavamsa from Indonesia who was staying a few days at Nalanda.

Bro. Tan took the opportunity to brief Ayasma Aggacitta on Nalanda’s future project – the ‘Wisdom Park’.  Ven. Aggacitta was happy to hear of the initiative and gave invaluable suggestions on how to go about designing the facilities, based on his rich experience in building SBS.

Ayasma Aggacitta left after spending more than 2 hours discussing various issues concerning the Malaysian Theravada community with Bro Tan.  We thank Bhante for his kind visit and strong encouragement to all Nalandians!
