In the past months, the WACANA Programme Team has been meeting often to plan for the sixth Buddhist Conference, upcoming on 20 December 2025. The team led by Director of Nalanda Institute Malaysia, Bro. Tan Siang Chye, assessed the needs and challenges of the community, and further consulted with respected teachers as well as Buddhist leaders to compose a meaningful event for the Buddhist community.
The conference theme – Awakening to Community Well-being : Contemporary Perspectives aims to explore how Buddhist principles taught in Dhammapada verse 183 can meaningfully guide community well-being and development through the holistic practice of all three principles : avoiding the unwholesome, cultivating the wholesome and purifying the mind.
We invite members of the Buddhist community to join WACANA 2025, to deepen our learning of a holistic, practice-driven Dhamma way of life that reaps personal and communal well-being. The conference is held at Menara KEN in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, Kuala Lumpur, from 9am to 6pm. Registration is now open at http://wacana.nalanda.org.my/registration. All are welcome.
