Youths give out care bags to Mon Refugee Centre

A big group photo with everyone at Mon Refugee Centre.

On Monday 1 September, six Nalanda Youth Leaders joyfully distributed over 70 care bags to the Mon Refugee Centre in Kuala Lumpur.

The visit began with Bro. Yap Kuan Yi exchanging greetings and introduced the youths who were present.  Together, everyone paid homage to the Three Jewels, followed by a short session of meditation, which created a serene and wholesome atmosphere.

The youths were then brought on tour on the newly developed centre, a ten-minute walk from the existing centre, which is catered for secondary school students.  The children receive not only education but also practical life skills.  The dedicated efforts of the caretakers and teachers was very inspiring to the youths.

The youths were also blessed with the opportunity to perform meritorious acts by offering requisites to two venerable monks staying at the Centre.

We sincerely thank the Mon Refugee Centre, the donors, and all volunteers whose kind support made this project possible. Sadhu anumodana!
