Young working adults discovering meaning at work

On Tuesday 11 November, the Young Working Adults group held their monthly gathering at the Nalanda Education Outreach Centre in Happy Garden to explore the theme of “Finding Meaning and Purpose at Work”.

The session began with a self-reflection exercise where participants examined their state of mind when thinking about their careers.  After that, Sis. Sunanda Ong shared the Chavālāta Sutta, offering it as a guiding framework for choosing a career and conducting oneself throughout one’s professional journey.  One key principle highlighted was the importance of acting in ways that bring benefit to both ourselves and others.

Seizing the opportunity to ask questions.

We extend our gratitude to Sis. Sunanda for her insightful sharing and her encouragement for youths to have confidence to navigate work life with the principle of Dhamma. The next Young Working Adults Gathering will be held on 9 December.  See you then!
