On Sunday 22 February, Nalanda members and devotees returned to Nalanda Centre, refreshed and eager to continue learning the Dhamma after the Lunar New Year holidays.
The morning began with a short meditation session, giving everyone quiet time to focus on the present moment and calm their minds after the festive celebrations. Afterwards, Sis. Paru began her Dhamma sharing on the topic “Can Kindness Transform You?”, where she described kindness as the quality of being friendly, generous, caring and considerate. She shared that when we give and support our friends, we can develop a deeper motivation of viewing it as an ornament and support for the mind to be liberated from defilements.

Sis. Paru then invited the distribution of angpau packets to all participants, with each packet containing a list of ten random acts of kindness. She encouraged everyone not to overlook the goodness in small deeds and to consistently find ways to cultivate kindness in daily life. Participants later formed small groups to discuss how they could carry out these acts of kindness after the session.
May we always be kind and caring towards others and ourselves. Let the power of kindness transform our speech, actions and thoughts to be more gentle and pleasant. We express our heartfelt gratitude towards Sis. Paru for her inspiring Dhamma talk. Sadhu!
