From 3 to 5 April, the Nalanda Youth Centre hosted a 3 day 2 night stay-in programme at Wisdom Park for undergraduates. With the theme “Strength in Serenity”, this stay-in aimed to help students strengthen their minds to face life’s difficulties while learning to incorporate Buddhist principles into daily living.

This stay-in brought together students from various universities and institutions including the Committee of the newly-formed Kolej Yayasan UEM (KYUEM) Buddhist Society, to spend a meaningful weekend learning and practising the Dhamma together in a peaceful environment.

Participants were guided through tranquil meditation sessions and a series of inspiring learning sessions by Sis. Sunandā Ong to reflect on the nature of the mind and how to cultivate serenity.

Participants also had the opportunity to engage in a lively forum with Bro. Yeo DiSheng, Bro. Ajit Lim, and Sis. Ho Wen Ying, where practical questions about navigating university life, managing pressures, and applying Dhamma in daily challenges were discussed.

The stay-in concluded with a rejoicing session, where participants reflected on their learning, expressed gratitude, and celebrated the friendships and connections formed throughout the three days.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all speakers, facilitators, volunteers, and participants who contributed to making this short stay-in a meaningful and inspiring one.  May the spirit of serenity and wisdom continue to guide us in our journey forward in life.  Sādhu anumodāna!
