Nurturing loving-kindness with Mettā Bhāvanā

The group of dedicated participants who attended the Mettā Bhāvanā course.

Over 12 meaningful weeks, a group of dedicated participants attended the Mettā Bhāvanā course at Nalanda Sri Serdang every Wednesday, from 28 January to 29 April.

Guided step by step through foundational meditation practices, participants gradually deepened their understanding of mettā meditation – not just in theory, but through direct experience.  Through Dhamma talks, reflections, and discussions, participants cultivated emotional awareness, explored the timeless wisdom of the Karaṇīya Mettā Sutta, and discovered the qualities essential for nurturing boundless loving-kindness.

Each session is grounded in the Dhamma practice through chanting and meditation.

Sis. Paru guided a few sessions throughout the course.

More than just a course, it became a shared journey of growth.  Participants supported one another through their consistent presence, put their learning into practice, and courageously shared their personal experiences along the way, bringing the teachings to life in meaningful and transformative ways.

We rejoice in their sincerity, enthusiasm, and steadfast effort, as well as the beautiful bonds of kalyāṇamittā that blossomed throughout the journey.  May they continue their Mettā Bhāvanā practice with diligence, deepening their cultivation and fostering peace and well-being for themselves and others. Sadhu!
