On Sunday 2 August, the Happy Young Adults Programme commenced with the aim of helping young working adults navigate workplace challenges while cultivating wholesome values in their professional and personal lives. The programme also features experienced industry leaders who share practical insights on thriving in today’s working world through the lens of the Dhamma.
The morning began with a guided meditation session to calm the mind, followed by an ice-breaking activity that allowed participants to get to know one another and build meaningful friendships within the community.

The first session featured Bro. TP Lim, who spoke on the theme “From Viral to Valuable.” Drawing from his experience as a film producer, he reflected on how today’s media landscape often rewards virality over genuine value. While actions may attract attention and gain followers, he reminded participants that what truly matters is becoming a person worthy of following. Through stories from his career, Bro. TP Lim illustrated how success measured solely by popularity can be fleeting, whereas values and integrity leave a lasting impact.
We are grateful to Bro. TP Lim for his inspiring sharing and warmly invite more young working adults to join us for the next session on 9 August, featuring the topic “Acceptance vs Complacency.”
